Join us for The Independent Mind: inaugural 2SER oration, a landmark event exploring the crucial role of media in modern society taking place at the Guthrie Theatre (Level 3, UTS Building 6, School of Design, 702 Harris Street, Ultimo) with doors opening at 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM start. Hosted by journalist and broadcaster Tina Quinn, the evening features eminent journalist and academic Chris Nash delivering the keynote address titled “Journalists as brokers in the politics of knowledge: a challenging, dangerous job,” examining the complex intersection of journalism, truth, and democratic accountability. Registration is required to attend this insightful inaugural address.
About Chris Nash
A Walkley Award–winning journalist and former Director of the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism at UTS, Chris Nash was on air for 2SER’s launch weekend in 1979 and co-founded the long-running current affairs program Razor’s Edge.
